Thinking about Parliament on the Net

About

Hi

This blog is about eParliament and eDemocracy matters.

I used to have a blog on www.mobhaile.ie but is seems to have disappeared, so I am starting again here.

While I work for the Houses of the Oireachtas, any views expressed here are my own.

I will write about developmentsĀ in the eParliament and eDemocracy worlds, that might be of interest.

    Leo,

Congratulations on the site. I am currently undertaking some studies as part of my MA in Political Communications on the area of parliamentary broadcasting, and the establishment of an Oireachtas TV.

I would be interested to hear your views as to whether you think such a channel is demanded, worthwile and would ultimately be effective. Indeed if you had ideas as to any proposed format. Do you think that eParliament; where interaction with the public sphere can be more web based will serve the demands for such a channel equally well?

If you had an suggestions, I would be delighted to hear them.

    Cormac
